Kernel Dispatch watches the official Linux mainline branch and turns notable changes into a readable daily briefing.
What we follow
We snapshot Linus Torvalds’ public master branch once each day. New commits are compared with the previous snapshot; the app does not clone source blobs or a working tree.
What gets published
New features, meaningful bug fixes, driver support, performance improvements, and security hardening can make the cut. Merge-only changes, routine tests, spelling fixes, and mechanical refactors normally do not.
How AI is used
An LLM drafts the plain-English summary from commit metadata. Before publication, the application checks that every cited commit exists in the source set. Invalid or uncertain output is never published.
What this is not
It is not an official kernel announcement, release note, or security advisory. Always follow the linked upstream commits for the primary source.
